Families matter! They matter to all of us. Whether our family is the one
from which we have come or the one we have created, they hold our greatest potential for joy or pain. Family can be for us the nearest thing to heaven
on earth or they can be a precursor to hell.
Mission Statement: Families Matter is a
service corporation designed to care for churches and families in East
Texas and beyond.
The founders of the corporation, Hollie and Janell Atkinson, are certified
to do Marriage Enrichment by the Association of Couples in Marriage Enrichment (ACME).
Hollie has his
Doctor of Ministries degree in "Marriage and Family" from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Janell comes to her
task from the perspective of a professional educator of twenty plus years.
